Capturing a moment on film expresses volumes more than I could ever put into words. The addiction began when I started photographing my own kids and has grown into a passion. At the heart of it, however, is the desire to photograph life as it happens, to take images that are beautiful -Kazuri Images - because they are real, not canned or forced. I desire to bring a natural beauty to my photography, beauty based in the reality of everyday life.
Our family has lived in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for 15 years, with a 2 year hiatus to Kenya, East Africa. “Kazuri” is the Swahili word for “beautiful”. My time in East Africa had a profound effect on me and continues to be a part of who I am today. I believe my worldview has helped shape my photographic perspective and it is fitting that my business bear a name representative of my time there.

In my experience, clients strive to be at their best when they step in front of my camera. As most of my business relies on word of mouth, I take as great a care in what I recommend to clients as I do in the finished product. To assist you toward looking and feeling your best, I offer and recommend botanical skin care consultations as a free service to all my clients. A 10-15 minute consult 2-4 weeks prior to your photo shoot, including free samples in most cases, is often enough time to heal the skin of any issues prior to your shoot. I strongly recommend this service for seniors or brides who may have acne or other skin issues that prescriptions haven't healed.
I only recommend botanical Arbonne products because they are free of chemicals, dyes, mineral oil, animal by-products and fragrance. I use these natural products myself and so strongly believe in them that all my clients receive a 25% discount or the option to purchase wholesale.
