At the heart of my work is the desire to photograph life as it happens, to take images that are beautiful -Kazuri Images - because they are real, not canned or forced. To that end, I prefer to work in a natural light setting, with the option of using the studio to offset the Oregon rain or for that unique, fashionista look. Even with the lights on, you'll find my focus is bringing out a look that screams "you", a look that causes those that know you to smile in recognition.
Our family has lived in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for 17 years, with a 2 year hiatus to Kenya, East Africa. “Kazuri” is the Swahili word for “beautiful”. My time in East Africa had a profound effect on me and continues to be a part of who I am today. It is fitting that my business bear a name that reflects a part of who I am, as I desire my pictures to reflect a part of you!

Your wedding day should be reflective of not only your love, but your personalities as well. I take pride in delivering photographs that are unique to you and your wedding day. To that end, all packages include at least two pre-wedding consultations, two photographers (unless contracted otherwise) and a keepsake photo book.

I am located in Oregon and reasonable travel is included in package costs. Extended travel arrangements may be made outside the Portland Metro area, including your destination wedding. Marrying out of state? Out of the Country? Discounts are granted in exchange for coverage of travel costs.
Every senior deserves a unique experience and, to that end, I include a pre-session gourmet coffee (or tea!) consultation so I can get to know you better. At that time we can plan an experience tailored to you as well as go over what to bring for a successful and comfortable shoot! Sessions are done in a location(s) of your choosing with every effort at making your senior comfortable.
Sitting fee due at booking:
May-Sept: $100 weekdays/ $150 weekends
Oct-April: $150/$200

I strive to catch those moments of personality that bring a smile of memory to a parent's face. A photo session of your child(ren) includes:
Approximately one hour photo session in a location of your choosing. Newborn sessions may last up to 2 or 3 hours;
Mixture of color and black & white online proofs;
Private online viewing & ordering;
$100 fee payable at time of session.

Family photos are often put on the back burner as we focus on capturing the lives of our kids, or the bigger events we experience. One of my goals is making family photos an affordable luxury and pleasant experience for everyone.
Family sessions are $100 in a location of your choosing. All proofs are available in a private online gallery.
